The accused PSI is alleged to have demanded a bribe of Rupees ten lakhs for not taking any penal action.
The accused Police Sub Inspector Praveen Rajaram Ghodam had allegedly accepted Rupees three lakhs as the first installment. He then started demanding the remaining Rupees seven lakhs.
However, irked by this demand for an exorbitant bribe, the doctor lodged a complaint with the Anti Corruption Bureau.
