Nagpur News: A superintending engineer of Gosikhurd Lift Irrigation project, Madan Mate was booked for demanding Rs. 50,000 from a complainant for issuing work order worth 31 Lakhs. House search was conducted and Rs. 21,00,000 lakhs have been found. He is the senior most official arrested by the ACB this year. Mate was caught in a trap laid by DCP Nishith Mishra in Bhandara. Mate is said to be a resident of Nagpur hence his house was searched. ACB is further investigating further in this matter. It is perceived that more corrupt officials will be netted by the ACB.
