Nagpur News : Though it was the last day for Anti-corruption Bureau SP Nishit Mishra in the city, but his passion for his duty will never end. While adieu to the city, one of the dashing cop, Mishra conducted a last raid at Zilla Parishad Education officer Someshwar Netam’s house on Koradi Road on Saturday evening and seized Rs 15 lakh and some property documents.
It is learnt that Netam was going to retire on Sunday. Interestingly, while ACB team was conducting the raid, Netam was giving speech to his juniors at his farewell party.
Sources had informed Mishra about Netam taking bribe from many people from past few months. Mishra informed that Netam would charge people to sanction license for school and other purposes, While ACB officials were keeping a track on Netam’s movements from last two days, Mishra ordered DYSP Sanjay Purandare to conduct a raid at Netam’s residence on Saturday. Till late night, police were searching Netam’s residence. Police were interrogating him about the high amount of cash and property documents.
In last two years, Nishit Mishra has caught 132 government employees taking bribe. He was earlier posted as DCP Zone 4 and was awarded for extern maximum number of criminals. He will be joining CBI Delhi from April 1.
