Nagpur: A verbal altercation over alleged abusive language escalated into a violent attack in Nagpur’s Kalamna police station limits, where four juveniles allegedly assaulted two brothers with a sickle, leaving them injured. Police have detained all four juveniles and launched an investigation into the incident.
According to police, the incident took place near the railway tracks at Gillor Chowk. Hemant Yadav had gone there to call his brother Sagar Yadav home. During that time, Hemant was allegedly abusing another person.

Police said a group of juveniles passing through the area believed the abusive remarks were directed at them. They informed their associates, following which four juveniles reached the spot and confronted the two brothers.
The argument soon turned violent, and two of the juveniles allegedly pulled out a sickle and attacked the brothers.
Hemant sustained a serious injury to his back, while Sagar suffered sickle wounds to his hand and shoulder. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.
Both injured brothers were rushed to a hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
Based on the complaint, Kalamna Police registered a case and detained all four juveniles. Investigators are also trying to recover the weapon used in the attack and establish the exact sequence of events.
Police said preliminary inquiries indicate that one of the detained juveniles has a previous criminal record. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of each accused and the circumstances that led to the assault.
