Nagpur News: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency Anjali Damania held a free and frank talk with youths at Futala Lake on the occasion of Martyrdom Day of Great Revolutionary Shahid Bhagat Singh on Sunday (March 23).

Damania said that today’s youths have been fed up and frustrated with the unpromising candidates, corruptions, unemployment, no job opportunities. Today’s youths, by and large, have distanced themselves from away from politics and politicians, too.

Hundreds of youths, inspired by Arvind Kejriwar’s charismatic leadership, had gathered at their favourite spot, the Futala Lake, to have a direct talk with Anjali Damania. The youths posed several questions to Damania, most of the questions being on AAP’s future plans for the nation building and welfare of common people and youths. Damania, too, while replying to their questions, stressed that AAP is a party with difference. “AAP will fulfill your aspirations and will not let you down on the trust shown by you on Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP. The party will make all out efforts to curb corruption, the root cause of all ills being faced by the country. AAP will not tolerate any corruption by its leaders and will not hesitate to throw out such leaders from the party if any corruption charges are proved against them,” Anjali Damania said.

While replying to questions posed by an Engineering student Ridhesh Kothari pertaining to job opportunities to youths, safety and security of women, increasing crimes, quality of education, Anjali Damania cleared several shortcomings in the system. “Government has totally failed in providing safety and security to women in police, judiciary and administration levels. Corruption in Power Sector is affecting the industries badly in Nagpur and hence job opportunities are decreasing day by day,” the AAP candidate said.

Mahi and Pratiksha, belonging to “Trutiyapanth” group (Eunuchs or transgender), drew the attention of Damania over negligent attitude of political and social circles towards their community. Damania assured them that she will hold talks with some social organizations and also with their community so that some reforms in laws could be initiated in order to resolve problems of “Trutiyapanth” group.

Dr Bhavna raised the issue of high-level of corruption in medical field. Damania squarely blamed the Government and showed her resolve to change the system. The programme ended with National Anthem.
