Nagpur: The Transport Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Sunday started Aapli Bus service from Medical College Square to Sonegaon to mark birthday of Sandeep Joshi, the Ruling Party Leader in NMC. The function to flag off the new bus service was held near Orange City Hospital at Khamla Square.
Sandeep Joshi and Chairman of Transport Committee Jitendra (Bunty) Kukde flagged off the Aapli Bus service. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Chairman of Tax and Tax Assessment Committee Avinash Thakre, Chairman of Education Committee Dilip Dive, Chairperson of Law Committee Minakshi Telgote, Deputy Chirman of Sports Committee Pramod Tabhane, Dhantoli Zone Chairman Pramod Chikhle, Corporator Lata Kadgaye, BJP leader Raju Hadap and several party workers.
The bus service from Medical Square to Sonegaon was being demanded by citizens since the past few months. The stoppages of the bus will be at TB Ward, Ajni Chuna Bhatti, Deonagar, LIC Colony, Khamla Square, Sahakar Nagar, HB Estate, and Sonegaon. The bus service will remain operative from 6 am to 10 pm.
