Aamir Khan offered Rs 8 cr to ‘Oh My God’ director to stop shooting?

All those who have watched PK must have noticed its uncanny resemblance with the earlier release Oh My God which received rave reviews and critical acclamation. The perception of god in the minds of people and the so called administrators and religious gurus dictating the terms as agents of god were consciously underlined in OMG and so was done in PK.

On the count presenting the unique thing, PK appeared to be a little down. However, a news has cropped up in certain section of media that Aamir Khan had tried all his best to stop Umesh Shukla, the director of PK from shooting the film. A buzz even said that Aamir had offered Rs 8 crore to Umesh to stop the film. However Umesh was reportedly adamant to proceed with his creation.

A source close to the incident revealed, “When Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra got to know that the storyline of Umesh Shukla’s OMG was similar to their PK, they along with Aamir had approached Umesh to have a discussion.”

Says a source, “OMG was still being shot then. Aamir, Rajkumar and Vidhu offered Rs 8 crore to Umesh to stop shooting the film!”
