Nagpur Today:

To revive the traditional craft of the region of Awadh, Art Karat showcased an elegant range of exquisite jewelry crafted in Awadhi styles in city recently. The collection gently textured with pearls and designed with detailed and intricate workmanship, integrates the heritage of Awadh with aesthetics of modern sensibilities. Awadhi jewellery has been a choice of royalty in the bygone age. Highly patronized by not only Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, also Royce from Avadh to Lahore, the jewelry designs featured gentle use of embedded Navratna (nine gems) stones and pearls.

The designer, Asha Kamal Modi incorporated similar styles in her collection, reminiscent of the rich glory of Awadh excerpting, “Jewelry is an art and art is for generations to treasure and feel proud of to own and wear. The Awadh Collection has been designed for those who desire unique wearable art.”

Studded with precious and semi-precious stones, the collection provides the wearer a graceful, royal look. From an amazing variety of chokers, necklaces, earrings, chandbaalis, rings, bajubandhs, tikas, anklets, bangled bracelets, each jewelry piece features meticulous craftsmanship and reflected magnificent classical lines.
