“Students start preparing for entrance exams to Management, Engineering and Medical entrance exams from 8th standard onwards only. They burn the midnight oil and study very hard, so don’t take these exams lightly” warned a Bombay bench of the High court while listening to two petitions from students pointing out glitches and erroneous evaluation. This happened in the recently held entrance exams which was given by over 60,000 MBA aspirant students.
The high court bench of Justice VM Kanade and A R Joshi also warned the the authorities that ” when you want to start something new, then you should inform the students in advance. There should be no mismanagement in management courses. The students’ careers depend on such courses”.
These warnings were directed at the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) which conducts the CET- which is the entrance exam for all MBA colleges of the state.

25 year old Bhagat Makhijani, who appeared for the just held exam claimed students wasted their time in trying to solve an erroneous question which which was pointed out to them by invigilators 45 minutes after exams had begun. The students’ lawyer pointed out this glitch to the court.
In defense the DTE lawyer said that after the mistake was noticed it was pointed out to the students immediately and the wrong questions were eliminated in the evaluation process.
This was done after a two member committee deputed to look into the issue of wrong questions.
This however had given rise to unfair evaluation, said the students’ counsel asking for a re test.
