28 youths lured into fake promise of job in Agriculture Deptt; duped of Rs 3 lakhs

Three people cheated as many as 28 youths to the tune of Rs 3,08,000 by promising them jobs in Agriculture Department. Police sources said the three accused Modika Goprasad Gobal, Shivaji Thorat and Ajit Kesre doled out a bogus promise of jobs in Agriculture Department to Sachin Kishan Chavan (19), native of Rajegaon Village, District Bid and 27 other youths. In return the three accused took Rs 11,000 each from the 28 job seekers collectively amounting to Rs 3,08,000.

The money was taken by the three accused at an establishment namely Bhavani Traders, Dattawadi, Amravati Road, Nagpur over a period from 14.9.2014 till date. However, the 28 youths were neither provided with jobs in Agriculture Department as promised nor the money was returned.

Wadi API Shinde, based on a complaint lodged by Sachin Kishan Chavan, booked the three accused Modika Goprasad Gobal, Shivaji Thorat and Ajit Kesre under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
