In a highly shameful and heinous act, a 55-year old woman was raped by three lewd men and a 12-year old girl was physically exploited frequently by her own relative, in two separate incidents here. Two accused have been arrested and another two have been booked in both the cases.
In the first incident, the 55-year old woman, a resident of Sonegaon area, was sleeping in her house. Around 12 in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, the three evil accused Ram Ganpat Gayakwad (32), Sunil Pandurang Gayakwad (24), both residents of Kaikade Nagar Slums, Shyam Nagar and Raju Bhede entered the woman’s house. The accused first mercilessly thrashed the middle aged woman and raped her.
Sonegaon API Patil, acting ona complaint filed by the woman, booked the three accused under Sections 376(D), 323, 452, 34 of the IPC and succeeded in arresting Ram Ganpat Gayakwad and Sunil Pandurang Gayakwad and searching for third accused Raju Bhede.
In the second incident, an unidentified 42-year old man, resident of Ekatmata Nagar, MIDC, established physical contact with the 12-year old girl, his own relative, over a period from June 2014 to November 30, 2014. Somehow the crime came to notice of the girl’s mother and subsequently she lodged a complaint with MIDC Police Station against the 42-year old accused in this connection.
MIDC PSI Barad has booked the accused rapist under Section 376(2) of the IPC and Sub-Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and investigating the matter further.
