Dr Nitin Raut floats prizes for best Ganpati pandals in North Nagpur

The enthusiasm surrounding Ganesh festival has reached its peak in city, as final days of the big 10-day bash have set the tone for all the fervor. And adding loads of excitement to the zing is State’s Employment Guarantee Minister Dr. Nitin Raut who has offered to acknowledge the best Ganpati pandal in his constituency North Nagpur that covers Jaripatka area.

More than 200 odd idols of Lord Ganpati have been installed in Jaripatka area. Among these the best Ganesh pandal will be awarded under parameters including beauty of the entire installation which includes the Shamiyana, the main idol, decoration of the idol, decoration of the Shamiyana, cleanliness around the idol, the orderliness in which the devotees come and have the darshan or receive the prasad, the way the volunteers hold different programmes for the residents around the pandal etc.

The best Ganpati idol and all over service provided by the mandal will be rewarded with cash prizes of Rs. 50,000, second with Rs. 40,000 and third with Rs. 30,000.

However, the organization is conducting the survey including Corporator Suresh Jagyasi, Former Corporator Thakur Jigyasi, General Secretary of Nagpur Youth Congress Atish Thakre and Maha sevadal Convener Milind Sontakke.

Nagpur Today treads the lanes of joy, filled with dazzle and extravagance of festivities, all displaying the grandeur of the occasion.
