The Indigo flight from Delhi-Hyderabad had to make an emergency landing at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here this morning because an on-board passenger suffered a sudden cardiac problem, informed sources in the airport.
The passenger identified as Neelratan suddenly complained of uneasiness and pain in the chest. The Airhostess and the crew on board the plane decided to land the plane in order to rush the patient to the hospital. The crew apparently got permission from the ground staff and made the unscheduled landing at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport.
Sources also said that the passenger Neelratan was rushed to a private cardiac hospital and has since been admitted there. The flight later resumed its onward journey with gratitude of the patient.
