Nagpur News: A group of three people duped a college authority of Rs 3 lakh on the pretext of arranging an industrial tour. The accused Deoras Chatte, Gajanan Patil, Sumit Moharle were hired to arrange an industrial tour for the MBA I year and II year students of Lokmanya Tilak Institute if Studies and Research to Bangaluru, Mysore, and Ooti.
The college authority paid an amount of Rs 3 lakh for the tour to the accused. The accused gave a receipt of that amount to the college authority. But the accused did not appear or contacted the college authority in connection with tour during the given time. Principal suspected it to be fraud and lodged a complaint with MIDC Police Station.
On the complaint of Dr Sagi Rajkumar Varma (54), Principal of the college, MIDC Police registered an offence under Sections 420 and 34 of the IPC against the accused and booked them.
