Nagpur News: Some unidentified goons took advantage of the crowd for Mahaprasad of Gajanan Maharaj;s Pragat Din and looted mangalsutra worth Rs 55,000 from Pratap Nagar Police station area on Monday night.
Karuna Chanrapal Chutke (50), a resident of Plot No. 36, gedam Layour, trimurti Nagar, near Haridas Dongre’s residence went to get the Mahaprasad of Gajanan Maharaj’s pragat dinotsav at NIT Garden. Karuna was taking mahaprasad when some unidentified youths took advantage of the crowd, they snatched her mangalsutra and fled away. Karuna discovered the theft when she came back.
On the complaint of Karuna, Pratap Nagar police registered an offence under Section 379 of the IPC.
