MIDC police on Tuesday booked a woman’s husband and in-laws on the charges of abetting her suicide over dowry money demand.

According to police, Swati Vikas Gautam (30), resident of Mahajanwadi, near Palkar Sabhagruha, Hingna Road, committed suicide between 7 and 7.40 pm on Tuesday (April 25) by hanging to a ceiling fan with the help of an odhni. During the investigation and a complaint lodged by mother of Swati, Sushma Dhansingh Gaur (55) of Hinganghat, it came to the fore that Swati had married Vikas Vijaysingh Gautam (30).
