Gurugram/Nagpur:  A 29-year-old man from Nagpur was found dead in a rented PG accommodation in Gurugram, with police suspecting an overdose of sex enhancement medication as the likely cause.

The deceased, identified as Rohit Lal, was working at the Quality Council of India office in New Delhi and had been living in a rented flat in Gurugram’s Sector 53 area.

According to police officials, the incident came to light on Thursday morning after one of his colleagues alerted authorities. The colleague stated that they usually commuted to work together, but Rohit neither answered his phone nor opened the door that day.

Police reached the spot and had to break open the door, discovering Rohit lying dead on the bed inside the room. During the inspection, officials recovered wrappers of medicines and health supplements, raising suspicion about substance consumption prior to his death.

A senior investigating officer revealed that Rohit had reportedly invited his fiancée over to meet him, but he died before she could arrive. Preliminary findings suggest that he may have consumed sex enhancement drugs, and an overdose could have triggered a cardiac arrest.

Station House Officer Satender Rawal from Sector 53 police station stated that the viscera and recovered substances have been sent for forensic examination, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the report.

Following the postmortem, the body has been handed over to the family. Police have initiated a detailed investigation and are examining all possible angles related to the case.
