Nagpur: The phrase “All Eyes on Rafa” is currently trending on social media, with thousands of netizens supporting the campaign. However, the issue has sparked a divide, with some opposing the movement and resulting in heated exchanges between the two groups. Shivani Dani, President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Nagpur, has expressed her dissatisfaction with the campaign in an interview with Nagpur Today.
Dani questioned why those supporting the “All Eyes on Rafa” campaign were silent during the atrocities against Hindus in Kashmir and Pakistan. She angrily pointed out that the same individuals did not raise their voices for “All Eyes on Kashmir” or “All Eyes on Pakistan.”
What is “All Eyes on Rafa”?
The “All Eyes on Rafa” campaign aims to draw global attention to the ongoing attacks in the Gaza region. The conflict between Israel and Hamas has led to the deaths of thousands of people, making it a matter of grave concern. Hamas militants have been hiding in the city of Rafa, launching attacks, prompting Israel to take defensive action in the area. Reports indicate that hundreds of innocent civilians have died due to these strikes.
Shivani Dani’s comments highlight the selective outrage often seen in global activism, emphasizing the need for consistency in addressing human rights violations regardless of the location or the victims involved.
