Nagpur: Two girls aged 14 and 16, staying in Government Girls Hostel, Katol Road, Nagpur, were reportedly kidnapped by unidentified person(s) in the wee hours (4 am) of Saturday. Sadar police have mounted a massive search to trace the minor girls as well as the abductor(s).
However, the reported abduction of the two girls from Government Hostel has thrown certain pertinent questions: 1) Why the minor girls went outside the well-secured Government Hostel at the odd hours of4 am? 2) What reasons prompted the girls to venture out slyly without coming into notice of the Hostel authorities or security guard, if posted there? Were the kidnappers waiting outside the Hostel in anticipation? Were the girls really kidnapped or they themselves headed towards pre-planned destination?
As if now, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Hostel authorities, Sadar Woman PSI Bagde has registered a case under Section 363 of IPC following Supreme Court directives that if any minor girl or boy goes missing then the case be registered as that of kidnapping and launched a massive search to find the girls.
