8 Vidarbha cricketers to go under WPL hammer on Nov 27

Nagpur: As many as eight Vidarbha women cricketers feature in the TATA WPL 2026 auction list which was announced by the BCCI on Friday. A total of 277 players will be vying for 73 available slots. The auction is set to take place in New Delhi on November 27.

The eight Vidarbha cricketers include Disha Kasat, Bharti Fulmali, Mona Meshram, Kanchan Nagwani, Komal Zanzad, Arya Gohane, Gargi Wankar and Latika Inamdar. Bharti was the lone Vidarbha player to feature in WPL 2025. The big-hitting middle-order batter, in her second season with Gujarat Giants, compelled attention with two stellar knocks. Her unbeaten 40 (6×2, 4×4) off 29 balls against the Delhi Capitals came in a winning cause. She fared even better against the Mumbai Indians.

Bharti’s base price is Rs 30 lakh. Bharti excelled in the finisher’s role for Vidarbha in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy in which she scored 176 runs in seven innings with an impressive strike rate of 157.14. She also hit 12 sixes. She picked up two Player of the Match awards, including one in the Super League match against Delhi against whom she made an unbeaten 36 off just 16 balls.

Vidarbha captain Disha Kasat, who won the WPL title with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2023, is in fine form this season and would be hoping to attract bids from multiple franchises at the auction. Disha scored 292 runs in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy last month with 88 as her highest score at an overall strike rate of 129.77. Under her leadership, Vidarbha qualified for the Super League stage, but her team narrowly missed out on a place in the final after two of their matches got washed out due to rains.

Disha was also the captain of the Orange Tigresses, which won the women’s competition in the inaugural Vidarbha Pro T20 League 2025. She was adjudged the Player of the Tournament for her prowess with the bat. She bagged the Orange Cap for scoring most runs (141) in the VPTL with a top-score of 88 not out. She also hit the maximum number of boundaries (19) in the competition. Disha’s base price is Rs 10 lakh.

Another inform batter, Mona Meshram, who excelled with the bat in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy last month, is also likely to be in demand among the franchises. Mona made 212 runs in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy with a top-score of 54 not out. Mona also shone with both bat and ball for Nagpur Titans which finished runner-up in the VPTL. Mona’s base price is Rs 30 lakh.

Komal Zanzad, who played for the RCB in WPL 2023, also had a very successful VPTL where she won the Purple Cap for the Orange Tigresses by picking up six wickets. She also had the best figures (4-17) and the best economy rate (4.19). Komal’s base price is Rs 10 lakh.

Arya Gohane was among wickets in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy where she claimed nine wickets at an economy rate of 4.75. Arya’s base price is Rs 10 lakh. Same for Gargi Wankar and Latika Inamdar.

The auction list includes 194 Indian players, comprising 52 cappedand142 uncapped players, who will go under the hammer for 50 slots, while 66 overseas capped players and 17 overseas uncapped players will look to fill the 23 available slots.
