75,000 to benefit from Samadhan Shibir: Bawankule

bawanNagpur: Two zone wise CM Samadhan shibirs were conducted in the city. 15,000 applications from citizens were received in these two shibhirs and decision on 12,000 of these applications have been taken as yet. The third samadhan shibir under Hanuman nagar zone will be conducted on August 23 and efforts will be taken to sort out problems of about 75,000 citizens in the city through these shibirs, informed guardian minister Chandrashekar Bawankule in a press conference here on Sunday.

Bawankule further informed that this initiative has been named as CM Samadhan shibir, Sarkar aapke dwar. This initiative started from Lakshmi nagar zone and the first shibir was held from August 9 to 12. The second shibir was conducted at Dharampeth zone and both the shibirs received good response from the citizens, said Bawankule.

The shibir conducted at Lakshminagar zone received total 9,091 apllications and of which 7,969 applications were decided upon. And only 35 applications are pending due to small problems. Besides, 1,122 applications are in process of decision. 5,726 applications were related to Aadhar and Smart cards and 5,026 apllications have been finalised.

Similarly, 649 senior citizens were distributed senior citizen card.

The samadhan shibir held at Dharampeth zone received 5,194 applications and 3,768 of these applications were finalised. While 1,427 applications are pending. 3,185 Aadhar card applications were received during the shibir and 2,574 applicants received the aadhar cards and 611 applications are pending. Similarly, 82 senior citizens were distributed senior citizen cards.

Those prominently present in the press conference were MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh, chairman of Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) Deepak Mhaiskar, Asha Pathan, Ramesh Singare, Suryakant Morey and others.
