Nagpur: Immersed in the spirit of patriotism, Delhi Public School, Kamptee Road, Nagpur celebrated the 69th Republic Day in a more meaningful manner. The auspicious day was graced by a personality to reckon, a patriot, a freedom fighter from Nagpur Shri. Pundalik Gedam, who helped save Mother India from the clutches of British by his active involvement Mahatma’s “ QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT ” . The flag was unfurled by Pundalik Gedam followed by the melody of our National Anthem reverberating throughout the atmosphere.
The programme included various performances by the students of Preschool to Class II. The students of Class II performed a skit on the tunes of ‘Aao Bacchon Tumhe Dikhaaye Jhaaki Hindustan Ki…’ and brought to life the patriots of yesteryears. This was followed by speeches in English and Hindi on the occasion of Republic Day – 2018 by students from Preparatory Class.
At the close, our Pricipal, K Balaji addressed the students asking them to reminisce about the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and strive to take the country forward into a glorious future. The students were presented with sweets. The 69th Republic Day Celebration thus came to a close.
