Nagpur: Ajni Police arrested a 50- year-old man for attempting to kill his wife with a cutter on Thursday morning. Interestingly, four years ago, he had also attempted to kill her and was jailed for three years.
The accused, Ravindra Kachruji Munghate, is a resident of Plot No 24, Bhagwan Nagar. Munghate often used to quarrel with his wife Meena (46) over some domestic issues. Around 7 am, he again started troubling her. After an argument between the couple, he took out a cutter and attacked her.

Meena was rushed to Government Medical College & Hospital. After receiving a complaint from the victim’s daughter Dhanashree Somesh Patel (20), police registered a case under Sections 307, 504 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act, against Munghate and arrested him. Further probe is underway.
