Nagpur: A pervert-minded 47-year old man crossed all the limits of decency when he exploited a minor girl sexually for days together in her own house. The evil man did not spare the helpless girl even after she and her mother shifted to another house. The accused has been arrested and is now cooling his heels behind the bars.
The pervert accused has been identified as Purshottam Govinda Shende (47), a resident of Nari, Jaripatka.
Purshottam, on August 1, 2015, with evil designs in his mind, went to the 17-year old girl’s house in Gittikhadan area and she being alone, raped her. However, the victimized girl narrated the heinous incident to her mother. The scared and helpless mother-daughter duo immediately decided to shift to another house thinking the accused Purshottam would not come to know the new residence. But Purshottam ‘literally chased’ the girl and fulfilled his lust be raping the girl frequently in the new house also. He even thrashed the girl and her mother when they tried to resist him. Fed up with the humiliating actions of accused, the girl finally approached Gittikhadan police and registered a case against the pervert.
Acting on the complaint, API S V Darekar booked the accused Purshottam Govinda Shende under Sections 376(2)(J), 376(2)(N) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 3, 4, 5, 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and arrested him.
