Gittikhadan police have booked a 40-year-old man for his devilish act of raping a 7-month girl. The incident took place on August 23.
According to police, parents of the seven-month-old girl had gone to Zingabai Takli, Hanuman Mandir for having “Prasad” of Nagdwar on August 23. But before going to the temple, the mother of the child left her at neighbour’s house. Grabbing the opportunity, the 40-year-old man Prakash Raut, a resident of Doye Layout, raped the girl. When the mother of child returned home, she found her daughter in shackles. Soon the gory act of rape come the fore. However, the accused fled the place and is still at large.
On the basis of the complaint by the parents, Gittikhadan police registered an offence under Section 376 of the IPC and 376 (2) of Criminal Procedure Amendment Act 2013 read with sub sections 4 and 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 Act. Search for the accused is on.
