4 teenagers arrested by pachpaoli police

Pachpaoli police arrested a gang of four teenagers in the nick of time and foiled an impending dacoity in the area on Monday night. Cops have seized lethal arms and other material likely to be used in the dacoity.

The Constable of Pachpaoli Police Station Sanjay Wankhede and his team was on patrol duty on Monday night. The team received information around 9.30 pm that a gang of four youths had gathered adjacent to the wall of a nallah at ‘Aara Machine Line’ and the gang was armed with lethal weapons. Acting on the information, the cops reached the spot and surrounded the gang. Confronted with the question as why they have assembled at the dark spot at odd hours, the teenagers fumbled and could not give satisfactory reply. The team of cops frisked the gang members and found them carrying sharp-edged weapons, ropes, chili powder and other material likely to be used in dacoity.

The gang of four have been identified as Gurudeep Singh Galjar Singh Gill (22) of Sugatnagar, Nikhil Gopal Badole (25) of AB Layout, Bezonbagh, Rajat Devendra Sharma (22) of Kapilnagar and Yuvrajsingh Harvindersingh Randhawa (19) of Babadeepnagar.

Pachpaoli PSI B M Rathod has booked the four accused under Sections 399, 402 of the IPC read with Sub-Sections 4+25 of Arms Act and Sub-Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act and placed them under arrest.
