4 ruffians try to murder youth in Wadi hotel

A tiff over a petty issue led to murderous attack on a youth by four ruffians in Wadi area on Thursday night. No arrests have so far been made in the case.

The trouble started when the two friends Hashmin Veerraju Chaudhary (25) of Santra Apartment, Wadi and Uday Gaur on Thursday night had gone to Hakuna Matata Restaurant for enjoying food. In the same restaurant, a group four accused persons namely Jai Jham, Chetan Naval Kovalia, Mithun Udiya and Saransh Thakur was also present and dancing. While dancing, one of the accused Jai Jham jostled with Uday Gaur who was having food. The jolt resulted in mobile phone of Uday falling on the floor. Uday cautioned Jai to dance carefully and decently. The words of Uday did not go down well with the four accused who first thrashed him with fists and kicks. Later, one of the accused whipped out a knife and stabbed Uday on his stomach and thus inflicted deep injury with the intention of killing him. The four accused fled the spot immediately. Hashmin took a profusely bleeding Uday to Sushrut Hospital where he is being treated.

Wadi PSI V R Barange, acting on Hashmin’s complaint, has booked the four accused under Sections 307, 323, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
