4 persons booked for forcing boy to commit suicide over love affair

Nagpur: Four persons, including an aged woman, have been booked on the charges of forcing a young boy to commit suicide for having love affair with a girl. The accused also include father of the girl and the deceased boy’s uncle.

The deceased Vaibhav Madhu Bodhkar (25), resident of Flat No. 503, Wing No. 1, Rai Mohar Building, Kamptee Road, had ended his life by hanging to ceiling fan of gallery in his house with the help of an odhni around 5 pm on 4.4.2016. At that time, Jaripatka police had registered a case of accidental death and were probing the matter further. The deceased Vaibhav originally hailed from Chandrapur.

During the investigation the cops came to know that the deceased Vaibhav Bodhkar was in love with the daughter of one of the accused Vijay Mangal Nandeshwar (55) of Vishram Nagar, Sugat Nagar Square, Nagpur. Obviously opposed to the love affair, the accused father Vijay Nandeshwar along with other three accused Ajay Premdas Sahare (42) of Nagarjun Colony, Pratibha Vishwas Jambhulkar (60) of Baba Budhaji Nagar and Vijay Devidas Bodhkar (48) of Samata Nagar connived with each other and probably started tormenting Vaibhav and exerted pressure on him to stay away from the girl. Unable to withstand the torture and the pressure, Vaibhav committed suicide on 4.4.2016. One of the accused Vijay Devidas Bodhkar, the uncle of Vaibhav, too played role in abetting the suicide.

Jaripatka API I S Hanvate, based on a complaint of Madhu Devidas Bodhkar (57), has booked the four accused under Sections 306, 34 of IPC and launched an in-depth probe into the matter.
