Nagpur: In a shocking incident, three young boys attacked a teenager with knife and tried to kill him over a trivial matter in Gittikhadan area on Sunday noon. Two of the assaulters have been arrested in this connection.
The trouble started when the complainant Mahesh Moreshwar Meshram (18), resident of Bhivsan Khori Square, Gittikhadan, along with friend Vaibhav Vijay Bakane (18), was going towards Dabha on a motorcycle around 12.40 pm on Sunday. At the same time, the three accused of the same area, Yogesh Suresh Meshram (21), Suresh Meshram and Rahul Ashok Gedam (21), stopped Mahesh and Vaibhav and started a brawl over a feud between them. Initially, the three accused indulged in abusing and beating Mahesh but when Vaibhav tried to intervene, he was attacked with a knife by the trio and was stabbed in the stomach with the clear intention of killing him. After the assault the three accused fled the spot. Vaibhav was rushed to a hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.
Gittikhadan API Kedare, acting on a complaint filed by Mahesh, has booked the three accused youngsters under Sections 307, 323, 341, 504, 34 of IPC and succeeded in arresting Yogesh Meshram and Rahul Gedam. Search is on to apprehend the third accused Suresh Meshram.
