Once the “owner,” Mahendra Maheshkar negotiated a deal to sell the land to Jayanta Gulhane (52), resident of Kolbaswami Colony and his friend Arjun Uttamchand Daswani. The accused trio even prepared bogus Sale Deed and handed it over to Gulhane and Daswani. In return, the accused took Rs 10,12,700 from them towards the cost of the land.

However, when Jayanta Gulhane came to know that the accused trio had prepared bogus documents of the plot, he lodged a complaint with Gittikhadan Police Station against accused. PSI Kaore has booked Mahendra Bhaurao Maheshkar, Leela Meshram and Sunil Meshram under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 34 of the IPC and has launched a search to arrest them.
