3 men arrested for stealing 2 bullocks from goshala in Nandanvan

Nagpur: Nandanvan police arrested three men on the charges of stealing two bullocks from a goshala and transporting them in a four wheeler cruelly either for slaughter or sale.

According to the complainant, Munna Kamalaprasad Shukla (47), resident of 5/B, Bezonbagh Society, behind Shikratna Boudha Vihar, he runs Radhakrishna Saidham Goshala near Bidgaon T-Point in Nandanvan. Around 0100 hours on Sunday, the three accused namely Bunty Shriram Kakde (22), resident of Amrapali Nagar, Hudkeshwar Road, Roshan Shyamrao Kakde (28) of Chimnajhari Road and Shahbaz Khan Firoze Khan (25) of Motha Tajbagh, entered the goshala and took away two bullocks.

The accused loaded the two bovines in a four wheeler and were about to transport them to an undisclosed destination but were caught red-handed in their act by either the owner of police. It could not be verified whether the accused trio was taking the bullocks for slaughter or sale.

Nandanvan ASI Gurnule booked the three accused under Sections 379, 34 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 5 of Maharashtra Animal Preservation Act 1976 and Sub-Section 11(1)(D) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 and placed them under arrest.
