Three people were killed and at least 10 others injured in a stampede which broke out in Bihar’s Begusarai district, news agency ANI reported.
The incident took place at Simaria Ghat in Begusarai, where devotees had thronged for Kartik Purnima celebrations.
Authorities confirmed that the three persons killed were women and said efforts are on to identify the bodies.

The injured persons have been rushed to hospitals for medical treatment.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each for the families of those killed.
