3 housemaids relieve employer of gold booty worth Rs 13,64,760 in posh Shankar Nagar

Nagpur: A housemaid relieved her employer of gold jewellery worth Rs 13,64,760 in posh Shankar Nagar area of the city. Though the theft occurred around 10.30 am on Thursday (November 27), it came to notice on Saturday. Cops are searching for the accused suspect.

According to police, the complainant Maithili Madan Pande (41), resident of 501, Govinda Apartment, behind Post Office, Shankar Nagar had employed three housemaids following her mother’s knee operation. One of the suspect housemaids, taking advantage of the situation, opened the almirah with the help of a duplicate key and decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs 13,64,760.

Sitabuldi API Bandekar, based on a complaint filed by Maithili Pande, has booked the accused housemaids under Sections 381, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
