3 businessmen cheat cloth trader of Rs 60 lakh in dubious deal

Nagpur: Three businessmen cheated three persons including a wholesale cloth trader and his two friends to the tune of Rs 60.35 lakh in a dubious deal. The accused trio has been booked by Jaripatka police.

The three accused businessmen have been identified as Rajesh Indrapal Vasvani (37), Manish Indralal Vasvani and Sonu Rajesh Vasvani (36), all residents of Plot No. 848, NIT Quarter, Ahuja Nagar, Jaripatka. The accused trio approached the complainant cloth trader Deepak Vasudeo Vasvani (31), resident of 325, near Chanduram Darbar, Jaripatka, and his two friends named Manish Parasram Kumbhare and Vishal Ramchandra Jain. The three conmen, in connivance with each other, negotiated a Rs 60.35 lakh deal to purchase a stock of cloth from Deepak Vasvani. The trio also took Deepak’s two friends Manish Kumbhare and Vishal Jain into confidence for facilitating the deal. However, after purchase of the stock of cloth between November 1 and December 21, 2017, the accused businessmen did not pay the deal amount Rs 60.35 lakh to Deepak Vasvani.

Jaripatka police constable Dilip, on the basis of complaint lodged by Deepak Vasvani, has booked the accused trio Rajesh Vasvani (37), Manish Vasvani and Sonu Vasvani under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC. Further probe is on.
