    3 brothers strike at young girl’s house, decamp with booty worth Rs 2.70 lakh

    Nagpur:
    Three brothers struck at the house of a young girl in Yashodhara Nagar area and decamped with gold ornaments and cash collectively valued at Rs 2.70 lakh on Thursday evening. The accused brothers have reportedly been arrested although police have not stated this fact in the release.

    The accused brothers have been identified as Nitin Satpute (35), Rahul Satpute (33) and Monu Satpute (30), all residents of Sudarshan Nagar, Lakadganj. According to police, the accused trio struck at the house of Priyanka Sunny Samudre (24), resident of Plot No. 92, Indira Gandhi Nagar, 12 Naal Chowk, in Yashodhara Nagar jurisdiction. The accused, between 6 and 6.30 pm on Thursday, broke open lock of the main door and gained entry in bedroom of Priyanka when who had gone out for some work. The accused brothers laid their hands on Rs 30,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 2.40 lakh. When the theft came to notice of Priyanka, she lodged a complaint with Yashodhara Nagar police.

    API Bawankar booked the accused brothers under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and probing the case further.
