Nagpur: A 30-year old man trapped a girl with marriage promise and raped her in her own house. The evil-minded accused later not only refused to marry with the girl but called her caste in abusive manner. The accused has been booked.
The 25-year old victim girl, resident of Manish Nagar, in her complaint told police that the accused Amit Vasudeo Ganjude, resident of Plot No. 2, Samaj Bhushan Society, Somalwada, promised to marry with her. With these promising words, the accused Amit repeatedly established physical relationship with the victim in her own house.
The accused raped the girl over a period from August to October this year. However, when the girl insisted the accused to marry with her, Amit not only refused to keep his promised words but hurled abuses calling the girl with her caste. Taken aback by the devilish behavior of the accused the girl filed a complaint with Sonegaon police.
PSI Meshram, acting on her complaint, booked the accused Amit Vasudeo Ganjude under Section 376 of IPC read with Sub-Sections 3(1), 10 of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Further investigations into the case are underway.
