Nagpur: In an audacious act, two motorcycle-borne persons abducted a teenage girl and one of them raped her at an isolated place in Kalmana area here on Sunday night. The two accused have been booked and are being hunted.
According police sources, the 16-year old victimised girl of Kalamna, along with her younger sister, had gone to friend’s house for bringing books around 8 pm on Sunday. However, when both the sisters were returning home walking, the two accused Sopan Pujare (22) and Om Upadhyay (35), accosted the girls and later forced the 16-year old girl to sit on their motorcycle. The accused took the girl to an isolated room in an open plot. Crossing all limits of decency, the 35-year old accused Om Upadhya closed the door from outside and the other accused Sopan Pujare raped the girl.
Kalamna PSI S A Raut, based on a complaint lodged by the victimised girl, has booked the two accused Sopan Pujare and Om Upadhyay under Sections 376(D), 342, 323 of IPC read with Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and searching for them.
