Nagpur: Two minor girls were abducted by two moped-borne youths in separate incidents.
In the first incident, a pervert man lured a 14-year old girl with a false pretext and took her away on his moped from MIDC area on Saturday evening. Since then the girl has not returned home nor her whereabouts known.
The accused has been identified as Manishsingh, resident of Indiramata Nagar. The accused around 6 pm on Saturday told the 14-year old girl of the same area that her grandfather has called her. Believing the accused, the girl sat on his moped. However, instead of taking her to her grandfather, the accused took the minor girl to an undisclosed destination. Since then neither the girl has not returned home nor her whereabouts known.
MIDC PSI P H Sayam, based on the complaint of the girl’s relative, has registered an offence in accordance with the Supreme Court directive that says if a minor girl or boy goes missing then the case be treated as that of kidnapping under Section 363 of the IPC and launched a search to trace the girl.
In another incident, 15-year old girl of Jaripatka was abducted by a youth in the same fashion on Sunday noon. The accused named Rajat Verma (20) asked the girl to seat on his two-wheeler and took her to an undisclosed destination. The girl had left her home with a friend around 12 noon on Sunday. Midway, the accused Rajat Verma kidnapped her.
Jaripatka API B D Patil has booked the accused under Section 363 of the IPC and searching him for tracing the girl.
