2-day meet on contemporary advances in diabetes in on July 2 & 3

A two-day scientific meet “Hello Diabetes” Academia 2016: A National Update: Contemporary Advances” will be organised by Diabetes Care Foundation of India (Nagpur) (DCFI) in collaboration with academic partners Sunil’s Diabetes Care n Research Centre Pvt. Ltd. (DCRC), Diabetes India, Indian College of Physicians (ICP) & Association of Physicians of India, Vidarbha Chapter on July 2 and 3, 2016, at Hotel Centre Point Ramdaspeth, Nagpur from 9 am onwards.

Aim of this scientific meet is to enhance knowledge on recent advances, the scientific session will have plenary lectures, symposia, debates, host spots, clinical case discussions, free paper presentation session & workshops in which stupendous faculties and young researchers will update on current Diabetes cognizance.

A satellite Symposia on “Diabetes and Pregnancy” will be held on July 2 in collaboration with Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (NOGS) at 3pm to 7pm. There are two sessions for Diabetes Educators and Hello Diabetes Education Programme for Type 1 diabetics and their caretakers on July 3, 2016.

The star attraction of the Academia is participation of well-known figures of National and International repute. Dr. Ramachandra Naik, Endocrinologist from University of Pensylvania, Philadelphia USA is attending as International Speaker. Dr. A. Murugnathan, Dr. V. Seshiah, Dr. Anil Boraskar and Dr. Shashank Joshi faculty, Dr. Nikhil Tandon , AIIMS, Delhi, Dr. Anil Bhansali, PGI Chandigarh, Dr. Prasanna Kumar, Banglore. Dr. S. M. Sadikot, President International Federation of Diabetes as well as Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra, Chancellor Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Deemed University Karad will be gracing the occasion as Guests of Honour and will be present at the inauguration ceremony scheduled at 12 to 12 40 p.m. on Saturday, 2nd July 2016. Dr. B.J.Subhedar Senior-most Physician and Dr. Gopal Dubey along with Dr. V. Sheshaiah and Dr. Anil Bhoraskar will be felicitated on the occasion for their contribution to Medical Field. Dr. Samar Banerjee will deliver Nagpur Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Oration while Dr. Shashank Joshi will be bestowed “Hello Diabetes Academy” Oration.

A total of 65 National Faculties, about 15 Local Host Faculties and 150 Chairpersons from across the country will participate in the scientific deliberations. Registration is already started and over 1000 delegates have already registered and is expected to reach 1400 plus mark by final day. Over 100 Type 1 Diabetics Children and their parents and 150 Educators will also participate in two different session on Sunday 3rd July 16. Over 90 lectures, 20 research papers will disseminate information and latest trends of treatments and options in dealing with diabetes and its side effects.

A National Scientific Advisory committee comprising of Dr Samar Banerjee, Kolkata, Anil Bhoraskar, Mumbai, Dr. A. K. Das, Puduchery, Dr Shashank Joshi, Mumbai and Dr Murugnathan, Trichy, Bansi Saboo Ahmedabad, S.M.Sadikot, Mumbai and V. Sheshiah, Chennai. Dr. S.N. Deshmukh, D.V. Doifode, Dilip Gode, C.M. Meshram, Narendra Mohata, Shrikant Mukewar, S.M.Patil, S.D. Suryawanshi , B.G.Waghmare, D.S. Wasnik and act R.G.Salkar are Patrons.

Members of organising committee are also spread all over Vidarbha and District places and are toiling hard for the success of the conference. Maharashtra Medical Council Accreditation has agreed for 4 credit points.
