2 booked for molesting minor girls in Nandanvan, New Kamptee

Nagpur: In two separate incidents of molestation reported under Nandanvan and New Kamptee police station, cops have rounded up two youth for allegedly outraging the modesty of two minor girls on Monday.

In first incident, the 17-year-old survivor along with her mother, was on her way to Nandanvan based college on Monday. At around 11:30 am, the accused identified as Gaurav Somkuwar (23) intercepted them. Gaurav reportedly asked the survivor to board on his bike. However, when she refused, he reportedly hurled abuses at her and threatened her with dire consequences in full public view.

Following the complaint of survivor’s mother, cops have booked Gaurav under Sections 354(D), 294, 506 of the IPC and started the investigation into the matter.

Similarly, a 16-year-old survivor and her friend were reportedly abused and threatened by accused identified as Bittu Ganesh Kusre (21), a resident of Kanhan on Monday.

The survivor and her friend were on their way to college when Bittu dashed their moped from behind at around 11:30 am near Samsari Bazar road. Bittu then tried to get near to the girls. However, when they intervened Bittu hurled abuses at them and reportedly molested them.

Based on the complaint, lodged by the 16-year-old survivor, cops have booked accused Bittu under Sections 354(A)(D), 509, 294, 506 of the IPC.
