Nagpur: This year, Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has selected 184 students for its ‘earn and learn’ scheme. The list of selected students has been published on the university’s website. A total of 265 application were received by the university under the scheme. The job started from September 11 and will continue till April 30 next year.
Under the ‘earn and learn’ scheme, the students studying in various disciplines are allowed to work as interns in different departments of the university for six months. The selected students are allowed to work for three hours in different departments and they are paid Rs 50 per hour for their services.
This year the process of application had started on August 13 and August 27 was the last date for application. The university had selected 200 students in 2017 and 105 students in 2016 under the scheme. This year 200 students will be given the opportunity as 16 students are in the waiting-list, informed Dilip Kawadkar, the director at RTMNU’s student development department.
