The victim was forced to marry a 32-year-old man who raped her repeatedly

Nagpur: A 17-year-old minor girl was forcefully being married to a man in Jaripatka area by her step-mother and father. The 32-year-old man raped her and as a result of which she became pregnant and delivered a baby girl.
The incident happened between April 2012 and February 2014 when the 17-year-old minor victim girl was being forcefully made to marry by her step mother and own father. The accused step-mother is identified as Maya Meshram aged 40 years and the accused father is identified as Raju Meshram aged 55 years. The accused to whom the parents of the minor girl were forced to marry is identified as Manoj Rajkumar Garde aged 32 years.
A 17-year-old minor girl, who was forced to marry a 32-year-old man was raped repeatedly against her wishes and held captive by the accused husband. As a result of which the victim became pregnant and delivered a baby girl.
However, the victim managed to escape and report the matter to the Jaripatka police.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the minor girl, cops of Jaripatka Police Station registered a case against the accused step mother, father and husband. Woman Police Sub Inspector Shirke of Jaripatka Police Station registered a case against the accused under Sections 376 and 376 (N) of Indian Penal Code and also under Sections 4 and 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012 (POSCO-Act).
