    1527 Bifocal seats of Class 11 remain vacant after final round

    The final round for admissions in Bifocal stream of Class 11 of 2014-15 routed through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) concluded on July 11, 2014. There were a total of 5262 seats available and the authorities received 5548 applications for the same. However, 1527 seats remained vacant.

    In spite of many students taking keen interest in Bifocal stream, thousands of seats still remained unoccupied. According to information, the colleges who have filled the seats through Management quota will file the details of the same with CAPS Committee on July 12, 2014. The seats vacant in Bifocal are as follows:

    • Computer Science            -625,
    • Electronics                       -717,
    • Fisheries                          -109,
    • Electronic Maintenance      -47 &
    • Scooter maintenance          -12

    The admissions for Bifocal through Common Admission Process  (CAP)  had started from July 3, 2014. Shivaji Science College, Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mohata Science, Dharampeth College and VT Convent College were the first preference for Bifocal admissions.
