Nagpur: A 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor girl in the jurisdiction of Panchpaoli Police Station in Nagpur.
According to the complaint, the girl was introduced to the accused, identified as Shridhar Ishwar Rajkatta, through a common friend. The two subsequently began communicating with each other.

The complaint alleges that in April 2026, the accused sexually assaulted the minor after allegedly promising to marry her.
A few days later, the girl’s health reportedly deteriorated, following which she underwent a medical examination. The examination revealed that she was approximately five months pregnant. Her family subsequently learned about the incident and approached Panchpaoli Police.
Police have registered a case against Rajkatta under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
