Nagpur: Beltarodi Police arrested 13 people allegedly involved in gambling during a raid at Hotel Manomay in New Manish Nagar, Nagpur.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided Room No. 506 of the hotel, where 13 people were reportedly found gambling with playing cards and betting money.
During the operation, police seized ₹30,070 in cash along with playing cards allegedly used for gambling.
The arrested individuals are residents of different parts of Nagpur, including Bada Tajbagh, Hudkeshwar, Chandramani Nagar, Rameshwari, Imamwada, Borkar Nagar, Dhantoli and Ajni.
Beltarodi Police have registered a case against all 13 accused under Sections 4 and 5 of the Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act. Further legal proceedings are underway.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Naikwad, with PSI Amol Shinde and his team leading the raid.
