Nagpur News: An interactive seminar on Indigenization and Automation of Ammunition and Explosive Group of Ordnance Factories was held on 04 Mar 2013 at Utsav Hall NADP Ambajhari Nagpur in a graceful manner.
The Seminar was inaugurated by Member/OFB Kolkata Shri Sartaj Singh, IOFS. General Managers and Senior officers from 11 A&E Group of Factories as well as representatives from 27 Private Firms participated in the Conference. The officers from A & E Group of Factories spelt out their plans to revamp and modernize their Production facilities through indigenous sources.
The representatives of Private Firms presented their capabilities and issues where the Firms can fully or partially meet the requirements of the Factory in the field of Indigenization and Modernization.
The conference is the outcome of the concerted efforts by Ordnance Factories to find alternative indigenous source to meet their requirements of Plant and Machinery for modernization for which they were dependent on foreign sources hitherto.
Senior officers from Ordnance Factory Board Kolkata also attended the programme.
The Conference was a sequel to the earlier conference held on this subject on 23 Feb 2012.
At the end of a very successful interactive programme vote of thanks was proposed to all participant by P K Dash, Director/OFB.
