Nagpur: The Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar has appealed all Whatsapp Group Admin and its members not to entertain candidates and political parties contesting NMc poll by sending their campaigning messages.
Campaigning for the local body election has come to an end at 5.30 pm of Sunday (February 19). As such no candidate or political party can put up advertisement or such publicity on Whatsapp and other social media. Violation of this code of conduction provision can attract an offence, Hardikar said.
Police Department is also keeping a close vigil on social media in this regard, he said.
