Nagpur Mahotsav 2015, the annual cultural festival, organised by Nagpur Municipal Corporation was inaugurated today on Thursday in a grand ceremony. After a lot of speculations over it, the festival finally commenced at Yashwant Stadium.
Every year, the festival features local artistes and vocalists. This year, Shailesh Dani and MA Qadar have co-ordinated local artistes for the festival.
The festival was inaugurated by the hands of union minister Nitin Gadkari in a ceremony presided over by Mayor Pravin Datke. , finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar ,Vijay Darda and other dignitaries.

The first day was graced by the vocal performance by veteran singer Asha Bhosle and Ravindra Sathe after the inauguration. Bhosle who was in the city to perform sang only Marathi songs at the festival.
The five-day programme will conclude on January 26 with the performance of popular bollywood singer Sukhwinder. The programme will also feature the felicitation of prominent people who have undertaken noteworthy work in the field of art and culture.
