Zilla Parishad pharmacist dies of cardiac arrest in office premises

Nagpur: A pharmacist attached to Jawali Primary Health Care Centre of Zilla Parishad (ZP), Nagpur died of cardiac arrest in ZP premises in Civil Lines on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceasedwas identified as P r akas h Pandharinath Thakre (47), a resident of Plot No. 10, Dighori, Telephone Nagar.

According to police, medical bill of Thakre was pending since last four years. He was used to visit office of Deputy District Health Officer to get the bill reimbursed. He arrived at ZP office in afternoon hours and meta ZP official, who reportedly refused to reimburse the bill.

While drinking water near the ZP building, he suffered a stroke and collapsed .He breathed his last at the spot.

Large number of on lookers gathered at the spot. Staff of Sadar Police Station rushed to the spot and performed Panchanama. The body was sent to GMCH for post-mortem.Sadar police have registered a case of accidental death. Last rites will be performed at Dighori ghat on Wednesday at 9 am.
