Hudkeshwar police have booked youths for attacking a teenager and his friend for causing serious injuries to them.
According to information, the accused Manthan Thakre dropped teasing messages during a chat with a female friend of Pranav Haribhau Landge (17). The female friend complained about this to Pranav. Pranav who along with his friend Vikky alias Akash Dipak Bhosle (23) went to question Manthan about his dirty messaged which he sent to his lady friend on Thursday. The accused Manthan Thakre, Shubham Bawne and their two other accomplices picked a brawl with Pranav and Vikky and then attacked them with sharp-edged weapons. Vikky sustained serious injuries at his chest and back while Pranav sustained minor injuries. They were immediately taken to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by Pranav, the Hudkeshwar police registered an offence under Section 307 and 34 of the IPC against the culprits. The accused are still at large. The cops have launched a massive hunt for them. Further investigations are under way.
